Abbye is a dynamic communications professional with more than a decade of demonstrated and award-winning success across public relations, corporate communications, and corporate affairs within agency and in-house roles. She is skilled in storytelling, creative program and activation development, and strategic planning. She is thoughtful about small details alongside long-term vision. In crisis management situations, she is measured, effective, and composed. Abbye is accomplished in event planning and execution with tenacious media relations skills.
Most of all, Abbye is a dedicated people leader with a passion for building and developing teams.
Outside of work, Abbye enjoys entertaining in her home, traveling, live theater, and trying new bars and restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her senior rescue dog, Cooper. Since adopting Cooper from the Humane Society of Missouri in 2020, she has spent a significant amount of time going on walks, playing chase, and purchasing dog sweaters.
In September 2023, Abbye married her husband Bill, earning a feature in Saint Louis Bride magazine — which may be her favorite print placement and event to plan to date!
As a graduate of Eastern Illinois University (EIU), Abbye is passionate about giving back to her alma mater and serves on the Board of Directors of the EIU Alumni Association and a dedicated task force for the university focused on enhancing Greek Life for future generations. Abbye also volunteers with her sorority, Delta Zeta, and supports charities that serve underprivileged families around the holidays (Billie’s Kids Christmas) and chronically ill children and their families (Bounce Children’s Foundation).
